How it Works
Laser light is absorbed by pigment or melanin.
Pigmented cells are broken down and darken, then rise to the surface.
Superficial pigment will darken first and leave a "coffee ground" appearance.
"Coffee ground" pigment will exfoliate away in an average of 1-2 weeks.
No self-tanning products for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
Sun exposure, tanning beds or artificial tanning may increase risk of side effects.
Treatment will not be done over permanent makeup or tattoos.
Herpes - pre-treatment with antiviral is often recommended.
Anticoagulant or blood thinning medications (like NSAIDs, Ibuprofen, Aspririn, etc.) can increase risk for bruising.
Laser procedures CAN NOT be performed with the following conditions or medications:
* Skin cancer/Malignant lesions
* Open wounds or Active infection in area to be treated
* Keloid or hypertrophic scarring
* Accutane use in the last 6 months
* Gold Therapy
