Platelet Rich Plasma, PRP, is derived from your own blood, which is drawn in-office at the time of your treatment, and contains concentrated platelets. Your skin is numbed topically and these “super-healer” cells are applied and microneedled into the skin. The result of exposing skin cells to PRP is enhanced collagen production & damage repair leaving skin more youthful.
Frequently Asked Questions
The number of treatments is dependent on your individual skin needs and goals. PRP Microneedle Facials are typically performed every 3-6 months. The concentrated platelets delivered into the skin with each treatment can encourage rejuvenation for weeks to months after each treatment.
After your PRP Microneedle Facial your skin may immediately appear red, like a mild sunburn, and feel tight. For the first 48 hours, less is more! Staying out of direct sunlight, avoiding extreme heat and not using harsh products is advised to avoid causing excess irritation to the freshly microneedled skin.

Be sure to tell your provider about all of your medical conditions, including if you:
- Have had or plan to have surgery on your face
- Have had cosmetic treatments on your face
- Have bleeding problems or history of low platelets
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding as you may be more prone to undesired hyperpigmentation or sensitivity post-treatment
- Are taking any medications, especially blood thinners or immunocompromising medications
