HydraFacial Keravive is a unique, relaxing treatment designed to cleanse, stimulate, nourish, and hydrate the scalp for fuller and healthier-looking hair. HydraFacial Keravive uses the HydraFacial Elite machine along with a proprietary Peptide Complex Solution designed to optimize scalp health.
This treatment is ideal for all skin types. HyrdaFacial Frequently Asked Questions
HydraFacial is a specialized treatment focusing on the upper layers of the skin. Because we turn skin cells over regularly, routine maintenance for optimal skin health is recommended. HydraFacials can be repeated every 3-4 weeks if you are focusing on general skin health and anti-aging and ever 2-3 weeks if you are on a specific acne regimen.
If you are receiving injectable (ie; Botox, Dysport, Fillers, etc.) or laser treatments you may be asked to schedule your HydraFacials around those treatments based on specific protocols in place. Please call to discuss scheduling requirements in these situations.
There is no downtime with a HydraFacial. In fact, you are going to leave feeling sparkling clean with a hydrated glow! You can continue use of most of your skin care products and makeup.
Avoiding chemical exfoliants, facial scrubs and prolonged sun exposure is recommended for 72 hours post-HydraFacial.
Depending on the strength of peel used during your treatment you may experience a light flaking within the 3-7 days after treatment that can be managed with a moisturizer.
Your skin may be more sensitive to exfoliation and the sun due to the deep, medical grade Vortex exfoliation process that occurs during every HydraFacial.
If you have had a chemical peel, laser treatment or other aggressive skin treatment in the 7-10 days before your treatment.
If you are taking an antibiotic or other medication that makes your skin more sensitive.
If you want a Lip Perk as part of your HydraFacial and have a history of cold sores.
Keravive Frequently Asked Questions
Beginning the day after your treatment, apply 1-2 sprays per area of concern once daily prior to bedtime by placing nozzle directly on the scalp while spraying. After spraying, massage solution into scalp for 30-60 seconds. Hair should be towel dry or completely dry
Allow the scalp/hair to fully absorb the solution and spray before apply heat. It is recommended that clients do not use a hair dryer within an hour of receiving the treatment or applying the spray.
Your scalp/hair should be dry 15-20 minutes after treatment.
You can use hair styling products as soon as the solution is absorbed & your hair/scalp has dried.
For best results, wait 12 hours before washing your hair.
There are no shampoos/conditioners/products to avoid before or after Keravive treatment. There is no documentation of interactions with any topical medications or non-medical topical treatments including but not limited to Rogaine, Minoxidil, etc.
Keravive Protein Complex & the take-home spray are safe to use without affecting the color & dyes.
Yes, both can be used with extensions. Be sure to spray the take-home product on the scalp, not on the hair or extension.
Some clients may experience minimal shedding as the vellus (non-growing hairs) are uprooted and fall out. These hairs would have fallen out on their own, regardless of having the treatment. Vellus hair shedding is a sign that the scalp is entering a healthier state.
The spray is colorless and odorless & will not stain.
Due to a lack of studies, it is not recommended.
This is safe for clients with seborrheic dermatitis & clients may find that it helps decrease scalp flaking.
