HOW DOES BOTOX® COSMETIC WORK?
BOTOX® Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of unwanted lines and wrinkles in the face— repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting and other expressions over the years. Your Allure Botox Specialist, Hilary or Alisha, will expertly inject these muscles with BOTOX® Cosmetic to temporarily relax muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of your lines and wrinkles in the treated areas.
Wrinkles result from a combination of many factors. It’s not just about cellular changes that can occur over time, reduction of collagen, or damage caused by free radicals in the sun and the environment. When you frown or concentrate, the muscles between your brows contract, causing your skin to furrow and fold. And when you squint, the muscles around your eyes contract and cause crow’s feet. Dynamic wrinkles, that appear when we move our muscles, lead to static wrinkles that visible even at rest. Not wanting to look angry, stressed, aged or tired are common reasons clients show interest in BOTOX® Cosmetic. The attention to detail, virtually painless injections and consistent results are why patients choose BOTOX® Cosmetic in the hands of a highly trained Allure injector time and time again!
During you Botox consultation, prior to treatment, muscle movement is evaluated, and a customized treatment plan is formulated. The number of units is determined by the strength of muscles, how much relaxation is required for results and the number of muscles being treated.
